If you were to ask me to tell you the one thing that made the biggest difference in the success of my blog, I would without a doubt say “photography.”
We live in a visual world, and blogs without great pictures just don’t get the attention that they used to.
I put together these photography tips to share some handy information with you about how I learned to photograph food, and what currently lives inside my camera bag.

How I Learned to Photograph Food
I just tried really, really hard and then one day, POOF! I could take good pictures. Okay, just kidding. I had a little bit of help along the way, namely from Lindsay over at Pinch of Yum. Her e-book, Tasty Food Photography, completely changed the way I thought about photography. Within a week of purchasing her e-book, I had my first photo accepted on Foodgawker and was featured on a large site that sent me a ton of traffic.
I also purchased a copy of Plate to Pixel, also known as the food photography bible. It’s a great reference to keep on hand and will really make a difference in your photography skills!
