Hi, Friends!
I’ve been asked to share links and purchase information for some of the can’t-live-without products that help me out in the kitchen.
These are all products that I own and love and that have held up to my abuse in the kitchen.
Let’s get started!
Martha Stewart Enameled Cast Iron 6 qt. Dutch Oven – (above) – I adore this dutch oven! It has a beautiful color and can even be put in the dishwasher. It’s significantly less expensive than the Le Creuset line.
Anolon Nonstick 14-Inch Covered Wok – A good wok can make all the difference in your stir-fry recipes.
Calphalon Nonstick Pans – (above) – I worship my Calphalon pans. As much as I love cooking with cast iron, sometimes you just need to pull out the non-stick!
OXO Good Grips Pineapple Slicer – I can’t believe I ever tried to cut up a pineapple without this gadget! Totally life changing.
OXO Good Grips Mango Splitter – What the pineapple slicer does for pineapples, this mango splitter does for mangoes. I think I’ve gained an extra three years onto my life in the time I’m saving with this handy gadget.
Microplane Zester/Grater – Essential for grating Parmesan or zesting citrus.
Lodge Logic 12-Inch Pre-Seasoned Skillet – (above) – Pre-seasoned cast-iron is the best thing since sliced bread! This little baby makes everything taste delicious. Plus, you can take it camping! At under $20, you really can’t beat the price on this one.
Norpro Stainless Steel Grip-EZ Meat Pounder – I also use this little baby to smash my garlic cloves up before mincing them.
Wusthof Classic Ikon 7-Piece Knife Set – These knives are my babies. I’m a firm believer in investing in a quality knife set as early on in life as possible. These knives will last for decades!
Norpro Cast Aluminum Tortilla Press – (above) – Fun tool for making homemade tortillas and impressing your friends.
Premium Bourbon-Madagascar Vanilla Beans – These vanilla beans are the BEST, and are sold at a really reasonable price. Keep them in a mason jar and they’ll last for ages. Try using them for Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta.
Garam Masala Spices – I have a hard time finding garam masala in the grocery store, so I buy it online. For many Indian dishes, there just isn’t a substitute!
Pure Lavender Extract – Can’t make Lavender Creme Brulee without it! Also good for lavender lemonade or just making your bubble bath smell like a spa.
Lodge Cast Iron Pizza Pan – Perfect for making pizzas in the oven or on the grill. I also use this for making biscuits, Irish soda bread, and Naan (above)! It’s around $30, which is a great deal for cast iron.
Double Sided Crinkled Cookie/Biscuit Cutter Set – I put off buying biscuit cutters for the longest time and have no idea why. They are so handy!
Fagor Splendid 6-Quart Pressure Cooker – I use mine for Barbacoa Beef, homemade tamales, fast beans from scratch, and to prep short ribs before throwing them on the BBQ.
Mueller Immersion Blender – Another one of those items that I can’t believe I went so long without owning. Perfect for whipping cream or pureeing soups.
