In a pot over medium-high heat add the raspberries, sugar and water.
Bring the pot to a boil then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Strain the raspberry syrup through a fine mesh sieve (do not push down on the raspberries this will make the syrup cloudy). Set aside to cool.
Once cooled, in a cocktail shaker over ice pour in vodka, raspberry simple syrup and lemon juice.
Shake for 30 seconds.
Pour into your favorite martini glass and enjoy!
