House Remodel

Kitchen Remodel: Sink & Faucet Before and After

Follow along as one food blogger's house undergoes a $100,000 renovation!

Well, we finally broke in the new kitchen last night with our very first dinner party!

I must say, hosting guests in our new space is like a dream come true. My husband’s side of the family came over for dinner, but because we’re all such busy people we didn’t really plan to get together until yesterday morning.

Which left me with just a few hours to put together dinner and dessert for 7 people – a bit of a challenge for someone who is used to cooking for two.

Barbacoa Beef Bowls - no big deal, only the best thing you'll ever eat.

I ran to the grocery store, bought four pounds of chuck roast, and made a stove-top version of my slow cooker Barbacoa Beef recipe.

I cleaned the house (ahem, threw everything into the spare bedrooms and shut the doors), then prepped lots of yummy toppings to make these Chipotle-inspired burrito bowls.

Next, I decided to make salted dark chocolate panna cotta with cinnamon whipped cream for dessert. I think I may have put in a *little* bit too much salt, but everyone must have liked it because the dishes were scraped clean. I’m going to work on the recipe a bit more before I share it with you all.

I’m accepting applications for taste-testers šŸ˜‰

Kitchen Remodel - Before Pictures

Ooof! You guys remember how the kitchen looked in the “before” pictures? Great space, great light, but… just not my style.

We did a LOT of work in the kitchen, and now I just love it!

Here are the after pictures of our beautiful new faucet and sink provided by our friends over at Kraus!

Kitchen Remodel - New Sink and Faucet!

I love the size of the sink; especially how easy it is to hide dirty dishes in the extra deep basin.

The faucet is so flexible and easy to use, making easy work of both prep and clean up. I love having the option to use either the pot filler or the spray nozzle!

Everyone seems to want to help with the dishes so they can try out the hand-held spray nozzle – not that I’m complaining!

Kitchen Remodel - Sink & Faucet Before and After!

I can’t wait to show you all the rest of the house, but I need a few more days to clean it up. It’s been pretty bad this week!

I’d love to hear what you think of the changes!

Until next time –

  1. Your article is just so timely for my kitchen refurbishment. Yes, you made my day filled with joy as Iā€™m overwhelmed by this project. Tell me more about what or when can I hear from you again. Thank you for sharing too.

  2. The kitchen remodel seems to have gone really well! I love the faucet that you choose, it is really elegant, yet practical. I need to remodel a bathroom, and have been looking for some inspiration for the sink area, so thanks!

  3. Wow, your sink renovations look awesome! I have been looking around online for some ideas for my own renovations. The long kitchen faucet is something I will definitely have to look for. It looks so awesome, but is also so utilitarian at the same time!

    1. Thanks, Delores! Definitely check out the products on the Kraus website. So many fun ideas!

  4. I have to say that faucet does look amazing! Our house came with a short faucet and it drove me crazy. We put in a nice tall which is better but I’m not a fan of it’s spray feature. This is going on my list for next time! Thanks.

  5. Congrats on your new kitchen! I love the countertops and the honeycomb backsplash. Hope you’ll be posting more photos of the whole thing! Your “before” pics look so much better than my current kitchen, at first I thought those were the “after” photos – ha!
