Fall is upon us which means it’s time for Fall cocktails! Growing up as a kid I loved caramel apples. Caramel apples remind me of vacation because somehow wherever we went we would end up at a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory or another place similar that sells these decadent and delicious caramel apples. I was very literally a kid in a candy store. Well, as an adult I still love all the flavors that caramel apple’s hold, but now I can make it into a yummy cocktail to enjoy on the patio on a cool fall evening.
How to make a Caramel Apple Martini
Assemble your ingredients. For exact amounts see the recipe card below.
If desired, prep your martini glass with a caramel rim and caramel sauce in the bottom of the glass.
Then, in your cocktail shaker filled with ice combine your vodka, sour apple schnapps, and butterscotch schnapps.
Next, close your shaker and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
Finally pour your martini into your prepared glass and enjoy!
What’s the Difference between Butterscotch and Caramel?
This recipe calls for Butterscotch schnapps which is what gives this cocktail that creamy, caramelly taste. But what you might be wondering is what is the difference between Butterscotch and Caramel? Well, these two confectionaries are very similar but what sets them apart is the sugar used to make them. Caramel is traditionally made with granulated sugar where Butterscotch is made with brown sugar.

- 1 oz sour apple schnapps
- 1/2 oz butterscotch schnapps
- ice
