House Remodel

Bathroom Remodel Reveal!

Follow along as one food blogger's house undergoes a $100,000 renovation!

You guys, we have MOVED!

We are officially living in our new house and I’m crazy in love with it.

The house is filled with boxes, Styrofoam peanuts, and empty beer cans so I haven’t taken any pictures of the main living areas yet, but the bathrooms are a different story!

That’s right, today I’m sharing the before and after photos of BOTH of our bathrooms!

We were so lucky to be gifted beautiful faucets from our friends over at Kraus, and I can’t wait to show them off.

Check out this before-and-after comparison of our downstairs bathroom:

I’m pretty much obsessed with our concrete counters. And our cabinets. And the back splash.

But the REAL showstopper in this beautiful Kraus faucet!

I LOVE how modern and futuristic it looks. The stainless steel finish goes perfectly with our design scheme, and I really like how clean it looks with the single lever. You can really feel the quality of the product when you turn the faucet on – everyone who has seen the new faucet has told me how much they love it!

I love it so much, I put the same one in our master suite bathroom!

Here’s a quick before-and-after shot:

Yes, I realize that I replaced blue tile with blue tile, but when I saw that blue glass mosaic tile it reminded me of our trip to Greece last year and I just had to have it.

And speaking of blluuuueee remember how the entire bathroom used to be blue? Not that we didn’t love the blue carpet and the bathtub from the blue lagoon, but I’m definitely feeling the new floors and freestanding tub.

Please take special note of the adorable cabinet knobs. I adore them.

Alright, I have to get back to unpacking boxes and re-organizing my entire life. I can’t wait to share kitchen pictures with you in a few days!

  1. I absolutely love that tub! I’ve always wanted a freestanding tub, but I’ve never made it happen. I’m looking into my own bathroom renovations right now, and that’s an idea that I just might incorporate. It looks so modern while retaining a classic feel. Just gorgeous!

  2. I love how the renovation turned out! I really like your choice to change the sink to a square design rather than the round designs you had before. This is a really unique sink, and it goes well with the beautiful rectangular faucet you chose. It looks deeper, too. This would be helpful when cleaning and hand-washing clothes– it’s kind of like a mini utility sink! Great choices, thanks for sharing the after pictures!

    1. Thank you so much, Meg! I had no idea how much I loved right angles until I did the remodel 🙂

  3. Wow, what a transformation! I particularly like the choice in backsplash design. It’s really creative and still it’s simple and effective. I also like the cabinets you chose. I’m a big fan of the darker wood colors with the grain showing.

  4. I love the new tub. It is really good looking. The bathroom remodel looks a lot more modern. It does look more futuristic. This definitely is motivating for remodeling my own home. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I absolutely love these before and after shots. It is really great to see how well you were able to transform a bathroom. The bathrooms in my home are all looking really outdated and worn out, so I would love to be able to get an update like this. I especially like the more modern looking sinks and the nice fixtures you have on them. Thanks for sharing this, it was great to see these examples!

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words, Julie!! I really appreciate hearing your thoughts 🙂 I’m glad you like what we’ve done!
