We all know we need our greens everyday and this cheesy asparagus recipe allows you to get your greens but with a flavorful twist.
How to Make Baked Asparagus with Cheese and Prosciutto
Assemble the ingredients. For the quantities of each ingredient, please see the recipe card at the end of this post.
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease with nonstick cooking oil.
Then, wrap a slice of prosciutto around each asparagus spear.
In a small bowl mix together the olive oil, garlic, and pepper. Drizzle the mixture over the wrapped asparagus and toss to coat evenly.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the asparagus starts to get tender.
Take the baking sheet out of the oven, move the asparagus spears close together so there are little to no gaps, and top with the mozzarella cheese.
Place the baking sheet back in the oven for 4-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and slightly toasted.

- 1 pound asparagus; woody ends cut off
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil

- 1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 6 oz. prosciutto - thinly sliced
