This Immune Booster Juice recipe blends grapefruit, mango, and carrot for a delicious, healthy drink that is perfect for those days when you feel like you’re coming down with something!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I can just *feel* that I need an immunity boost.
More often than not, it’s right as I’m standing up, stretching, and waiting to get off of the damn airplane.
What can I say? Just because I travel a lot doesn’t mean I like flying. I really don’t like breathing in all that used air. Eeech.
This time of year, I’ll take all the immune support I can get!
This is my absolute favorite immunity juice for lifting my spirits. I make it from grapefruit, mango, ginger, carrot, turmeric, and cayenne.
Grapefruit is loaded with Vitamin C, which, as we all know, is necessary for proper immune system functioning. I happen to love the bitter flavor, but if you’re not a fan you could always substitute oranges or tangerines.
Mango, besides being freakin’ delicious, contains plenty of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and an interesting little enzyme called Bromelain. Found in pineapple and mangoes, bromelain has been known to reduce pain and swelling, particularly in the nose and sinus.
Ginger helps clear your sinuses and promotes healthy sweating. It contains plenty of antioxidants and is naturally antimicrobial.
Carrots contain plenty of beta-carotene, an antioxidant which provides plenty of Vitamin A. Beta-carotene also supports the body’s mucus membrane lining the respiratory and intestinal tracts which can help keep bacteria out of the bloodstream.
Turmeric is known for it’s anti-inflammatory properties, and its active ingredient (curcumin) is known as an anti-viral and anti-fungus.
Cayenne increases circulation, promotes digestion, and has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It supports absorption of beta-carotene (found in the carrots!).

- 2 grapefruit, peeled
- 2 cups mango pieces
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- 4 large carrots
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- Pinch of ground cayenne
- Process the grapefruit and mango, ginger, and carrots in your juicer. Stir in the turmeric and cayenne. Drink up!
