This Watermelon Margarita is the perfect cocktail for hot summer days, combining sweet, juicy watermelon with fresh lime juice and smooth tequila for a bright and refreshing drink.

I love a cocktail that incorporates fresh fruit! For more fruity cocktails you have to check out my Raspberry Martini, Blood Orange Margarita, and Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita.

Recipe Ingredients

Fresh Watermelon – Light and flavorful, the watermelon blends to create fresh watermelon juice in this cocktail. I recommend using a seedless watermelon for less mess and the best watermelon flavor.

Lime Juice – A hint of zest added into this drink to balance out the sweetness.

Honey – A little sweetness added into the margarita. You can substitute with simple syrup if you need.

Expert Tips

Choosing a Watermelon – To pick a ripe watermelon full of flavor you want to look for one that has a creamy yellow spot on the bottom and sounds hollow when you gently tap it.

Use a Strainer – Strain your blender contents into a glass or pitcher to remove any unwanted watermelon pulp or seeds. If you do not have a strainer you can also use a fine mesh sieve.
