This Watermelon Martini is a light, refreshing cocktail that captures the sweet, juicy flavor of fresh watermelon in every sip. Made with simple ingredients and shaken until perfectly chilled, it’s a vibrant drink that’s ideal for warm summer days, backyard gatherings, or happy hour at home. The naturally sweet watermelon pairs beautifully with vodka, creating a smooth and fruity martini that’s both elegant and easy to make.

Recipe Ingredients

Vodka – The main liquor in this cocktail.

Fresh Watermelon Juice – Made from blending watermelon in a blender or food processor.

Simple Syrup – Adds sweetness into the drink to enhance the sweetness of the watermelon.

Cointreau – You can also use triple sec or any orange liqueur you prefer.

How to Make A Watermelon Martini

Step #1: Place pieces of watermelon in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Step #2: Strain the blended watermelon into a measuring cup using a fine mesh strainer. This removes all the watermelon pulp and blended seeds.

Step #3: In a cocktail shaker with ice add the vodka, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, watermelon juice, and simple syrup.

Step #4: Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.

Step #5: Pour into your favorite martini glass, garnish with a slice of watermelon, and enjoy!

How can I garnish my watermelon cocktail?

Ways to garnish this martini would be with a sugared rim, a slice of watermelon or small watermelon chunks on a toothpick. You can also add a mint leaf as well for presentation.

Do I have to use vodka for this watermelon martini recipe?

No. If you do not like vodka I would recommend using gin as the main alcohol in this cocktail.
